Anti-sCP polyclonal antibody

Invented by Abdo Alnabulsi
Invented at Vertebrate Antibodies Limited

Info

Catalogue Number 158065
Applications ELISA
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Salmon cardiac hormone precursor
Reactivity Salmonids
Relevance Salmon cardiac peptide (sCP), a new member of the family of natriuretic peptides, has an important role in the regulation of fluid balance and cardiovascular function. sCP increased the sodium excretion in proportion to the increased urine flow, and intra-arterial administration of sCP increased urine output in salmon. The cardiac natriuretic peptides regulate the water and salt balance, which play an important role in salmon transferring between fresh and sea water.

This is a useful tool to evaluate fish overall health.
Host Rabbit
Immunogen Ovalbumin-conjugated synthetic peptide.
Formulation Unpurified anti-serum from rabbit preserved in 0.02% Thiomersal
Molecular Weight (kDa) 16.7
Notes Applications and Recommended Usage Conditions
- ELISA recommended to be used at 1/500 dilution. Use peptide immunogens as positive control.
