Invented by Prof Paul Knox from PlantProbes
Invented at University of Leeds

Info

Catalogue Number 157945
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Extensin
Relevance Extensins are a family of flexuous, rodlike, hydroxyproline-rich glycoproteins (HRGPs) of the plant cell wall.
Typically they have two major diagnostic repetitive peptide motifs, one hydrophilic and the other hydrophobic, with potential for crosslinking, forming crosslinked networks in cell walls. Extensins are thought to act as self-assembling amphiphiles essential for cell-wall assembly and growth by cell extension and expansion.
Host Rat
Myeloma Used IR983F
Notes Rat monoclonal antibodies available in units of hybridoma supernatant.
