Growth/Phenotype Keywords
Round to polygonal cells growing singly in suspension; Hyperdiploid with complex aberrant chromosomes
Recommended Growing Conditions
Doubling time approximately 30 hours. Cells grow singly in suspension. Maintain cultures between 5-20 x 105 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C. Thaw ampoule and perform a cell count, spin out the DMSO and resuspend in an appropriate volume of media to give a cell concentration of 5 x 105 cells/ml. At subculture perform a cell count and maintain cultures between 5-20 x 105cells/ml, this tends to equate to a 1:3 split every 2-3 days.Culture medium: RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)
