Over the last 25 years

Commercial Partnerships has built one of the largest and most well respected

collections of research tools in the UK.

2002

Cancer Research Technology (CRT) is formed by merging Cancer Research Campaign Technologies, Cancer Research Ventures and Imperial Cancer Research Technology.

2005

The DaRT (Diagnostic and Research Tools) team is formed to develop the research tool licensing and commercialisation business within CRT.

2006

CRT Inc, CRT’s American division is formed.

October 2014

Commercial Partnerships rebrands and relaunches DaRT as Ximbio, to change the way research tools

are licensed, sourced and stored.

2015

Ximbio partners with more than 20 UK TTOs, researchers and

life science companies.

2016

CRT becomes CRUK Commercial Partnerships

2017

Ximbio expands into the US, partnering with over 30 US institutes

2019

Ximbio has partnerships with more than 80 TTOs, over 1000 researchers

and more than 200 life science companies worldwide.

Ximbio expands its global presence with new partnerships across Europe, Australia and Asia.

2020

Ximbio has partnerships with more than 150 TTOs, over 2000 researchers

and more than 200 life science companies worldwide.
