Info

Catalogue Number 157996
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Targeting poly-histidine (HIS) tag
Synonyms Polyhistidine; Poly-histidine; Hexahistidine; Hexa-histidine
Relevance A polyhistidine-tag is an amino acid motif in proteins that typically consists of at least six histidine (His) residues, often at the N- or C-terminus of the protein.

- iBodies® are capable of replacing antibodies in biomedical applications such as ELISA, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, immunocytochemistry, Western Blot and immunoprecipitation.
- These iBodies® consist of an N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methacrylamide (HPMA) copolymer decorated with low-molecular-weight compounds that function as targeting ligand (e.g., enzyme inhibitors, receptor ligands), affinity anchor (e.g., biotin) and/or imaging probe (various fluorophores).
- These iBodies® have been used for enzyme inhibition, protein isolation, immobilization, quantification and live cell imaging as well as for classical Western Blot application. The system is remarkably modular and can be used for different biological/biochemistry assays.
Key Attributes HPMA conjugate characteristics:
MW: 98 kDa
#Biotins/molecule: 13
Fluorochrome name: ATTO 488
#Fluorochrome/molecule: 10
Research Area Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction, Other
Notes iBodies(R) is a registered trade mark of IOCB Tech s.r.o.
