Relevance The HCA-7, clolny 1 cell line is a subpopulations isolated from the HCA-7 cell line following butyrate treatment. The HCA-7 cell line is an epithelial human colon adenocarcinoma cell line established from a colon adenocarcinoma of a 58 year-old female patient. The adenocarcinoma was moderately differentiated and determined to be Dukes' stage B.

Recommended Growing Conditions Subculture Routine: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:5 to 1:10 weekly using 0.0125% trypsin/EDTA; 7.5% CO2; 37°C. Suggested seeding density 2-4x10,000 cells/cm².Culture Medium: DMEM (High glucose) + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Notes Karyotype: Near diploid.
Parent HCA-7 cell line: wildtype APC.
Known mutations: Parent HCA-7 cell line: RER phenotype, p53.
