HaCaT EGFP-Smad4 (clone 4) cell line

Invented by Caroline Hill at The Francis Crick Institute

Info

Catalogue Number 156442
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Smad4 translocation
Parental Line HaCaT cell line
Host Human
Model Reporter
Relevance This human keratinocyte cell line expresses an enhanced green fluorescent protein (eGFP)-Smad4 fusion protein and can be used as a Smad4 translocation reporter for activin and transforming growth factor β (TGF-β) signalling. The cell line enables detection of Smad4 nucleocytoplasmic shuttling in real time.
Production Details Made by transfecting a plasmid comprising human Smad4 cloned downstream of eGFP in plasmid pEGFP-C1

Clonal
Research Area Cancer, Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction, Developmental Biology, Fluorescent Cell Imaging
Recommended Growing Conditions Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium (DMEM) containing 10% foetal calf serum (FCS) + 500 µg/ml G418 (clonal)
