Relevance A keratinocyte cell line established from a squamous carcinoma of the upper jaw (maxilla) of a Caucasian male. Keratin and involucrin markers present. Known mutations: p53, p16 and p14ARF. Tumourigenicity in athymic mice not tested. Edington et al., 1995 must be cited and the cell line referred to by its original name.
