|Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets||Ataxin7|
|Reactivity||Human and Mouse|
|Relevance||The Anti-Ataxin-7, clone 3SCA-1C1 Antibody has been validated for ELISA, Western Blot (endogenous and recombinant proteins) and Immunofluorescence. Ataxin-7 is a protein of unknown function but it is believed to be a transcription factor due to its nuclear localisation. Ataxin 7 is associated with both olivopontocerebellar atrophy type 3 (OPCA3) and spinocerebellar ataxia type 7 (SCA7), one of a group of hereditary neurodegenrative diseases caused by an expanded CAG repeat in the Ataxin-7 gene.|
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein (1-229)|
Available in 100ul unit as ascites.
Epitope mapped between aa 66 and aa 119.
Recommended dilutions: 1/500- 1/5000
|Research Area||Gene Expression, Neurobiology|
