Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets hEMILIN2
Reactivity Human
Relevance Emilin-2 (Elastin Microfibril Interface Located proteIN) is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein. Is part of a protein family which have been shown to be expressed in smooth muscle and other mesenchymal tissues and is localized at the proximity of elastin and microfibrils. Emilin-2 is larger than Emilin-1 and contains a unique proline-rich domain. It is involved in regulation of the extrinsic apoptotic pathway, by interacting with death receptors DR4 and DR5 and down-modulates the Wnt signalling pathway. EMILIN2 is also involved in the regulation of angiogenesis and elastogenesis
Host Mouse
Immunogen Recombinant human Emilin-2 as immunizing antigen; BALB/c mice as host
Positive Control IgG2b kappa
Notes Storage Conditions
Store at 2-8°C or aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Concentration
Western Blot use at 2-5 μg/ml
