Relevance | Multimerin-2 (MMRN-2), also known as Emilin-3 (Elastin Microfibril Interface Located proteIN), is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein. Is part of a protein family which have been shown to be expressed in smooth muscle and other mesenchymal tissues and is localized at the proximity of elastin and microfibrils. MMRN-2, is expressed during embryonic development and can also interfere with tumour angiogenesis and growth. |
