Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | Squamous Cell Carcinoma |
Synonyms | SCC, Squamous cell carcinoma, T11 |
Host | Human |
Disease Keywords | Cancer, Skin Cancer, Squamous Cell Carcinoma |
Model | Tumour line |
Relevance | The SCC series represent primary, recurrent and metastatic carcinoma. Availability of such a series from the same individual will facilitate genetic analysis of the malignant process. |
Production Details | Cutaneous SCC cell line from 48 year old male. Poorly defined primary tumour from the back with germline DNA from lymphocytes. Patient had a renal transplant and was treated with Cyclosporine, Prednisolone and Azathioprine. Patient had stopped Azathioprine treatment at the time of lesional biopsy. |
Research Area | Cancer |
Recommended Growing Conditions | Keratinocyte cell culture media supplemented with 10ng/ml EGF |
