Synonyms | 13C |
Relevance |
Yeast cells are grown on an isotopically enriched 13C growth media prior to harvest when an isotopically enriched extract of the metabolome is obtained and exploited as an internal standard. More than 99% of all carbon atoms have been substituted by stable 13C isotopes. Can be used as an internal standard for Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry based amino acid quantification in human plasma. |
Research Area | Metabolism |
Storage | -80ºC |
Notes |
Unit size: extract of 2 billion yeast cells Contents per unit: Lysine 44 ± 4 nmol Histidine 90 ± 9 nmol Arginine 930 ± 40 nmol |
