Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | ATF7 Transcription Factor |
Reactivity | Human |
Relevance | The monoclonal anti-ATF7 antibody, clone 1AT-2F10, has been validated for ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation and gel supershift applications. ATF-7 is a cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor that in humans is encoded by the ATF7 gene. The ATF7 homolog Drosophila ATF2 (dATF2) contributes to heterochromatin formation and mouse ATF7 also contributes to the formation of heterochromatin on the gene encoding serotonin receptor 5b (Htr5b). ATF7 mediates epigenetic changes induced by LPS in human and mouse macrophages and these changes are maintained for long periods. |
