Anti-calcium-sensing receptor [HL1499] monoclonal antibody

Invented at University Of Florida

Info

Catalogue Number 158407
Applications IHC IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Calcium Sensing Receptor (CaSR)
Synonyms CaSR, CaR
Reactivity Human, Mouse, Rat and Rabbit
Relevance Calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) is a GPCR sensing extracellular levels of calcium ions and is primarily expressed in the renal tubes of the kidney and in the parathyroid gland. Mutations have been known to cause several disorders such as familial hypocalciuris hypercalemia, autosomal dominant hypocalcemia and Type 6 Bartter syndrome. CaSR has also been shown to be involved in Alzheimer's Disease, asthma, and cancer. CaSR has been shown to interaction with filamin, which is not present in certain types of cancers, and can only activate ERK in the presence of filamin.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 15-29 in the extracellular amino terminus of human CaSR
Subclass IgG1 kappa
Notes Bands are seen at 140 kDa and 125 kDa on WB
Research Area Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction, Cardiovascular
