IC1 SCC Cell Line

Info

Catalogue Number 153662
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Synonyms SCC, Squamous cell carcinoma, IC1
Host Human
Disease Keywords Cancer, Skin Cancer, Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Model Tumour line
Relevance IC1 squamous cell carcinoma cell line derived from a primary tumour.

Background and Research Application
The SCC series represent primary, recurrent and metastatic carcinoma. Availability of such a series from the same individual will facilitate genetic analysis of the malignant process. This cell line has been used in a variety of research, including research in the role of Notch signalling mutations in SCC.
Production Details Cutaneous SCC cell line from 77 year old male. Moderately defined primary tumour from the right temple with germline DNA from lymphocytes. Patient was immuno-competent and did not receive immune therapy.
Research Area Cancer, Genetic Studies Tools
Recommended Growing Conditions Keratinocyte cell culture media supplemented with 10ng/ml EGF
Notes Concentration
Vial has between 1-5 million cells as standard, however this may vary.
