Applications | WB |
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | Mitochondrial EF-Tu |
Synonyms | Mitochondrial Elongation Factor Tu, EF-Tu, P43, Elongation Factor Tu, Mitochondrial, EF-TuMT, COXPD4, EFTU |
Reactivity | Human |
Relevance | Two elongation factors, EF-Tu and EF-Ts, participate in the elongation phase during protein biosynthesis on the human mitoribosome. The mitochondrial EF-Tu promotes the GTP-dependent binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to the A-site of ribosomes during protein biosynthesis. Mutations identified in this gene have been associated with combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency resulting in lactic acidosis and fatal encephalopathy |
Host | Mouse |
Immunogen | Recombinant protein |
Molecular Weight (kDa) | Predicted 43 kDa |
Recommended Growing Conditions | RPMI + 10% FCS |
Notes | This antibody recognises the mature post mitochondrial import form of EF-Tu |
Research Area | Gene Expression |
