Info

Catalogue Number 152700
Applications ELISA IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Cytochrome P450, Family 1, Subfamily B, Polypeptide 1, CYP1B1
Reactivity Human, Mouse and Rat
Relevance Cytochromes P450 are a group of heme-thiolate monooxygenases. In liver microsomes, this enzyme is involved in an NADPH-dependent electron transport pathway. It oxidizes a variety of structurally unrelated compounds, including steroids, fatty acids, and xenobiotics.Participates in the metabolism of an as-yet-unknown biologically active molecule that is a participant in eye development.

CYP1B1 is upregulated in tumour cells and is a therapeutic target
Host Mouse
Immunogen Ovalbumin-conjugated synthetic peptide - GSAFADRPAF.
Positive Control IHC: formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded ovarian cancer sections; Western Blot: Recombinant human CYP1B1 expressed in lymphoblast microsomes
Subclass IgG1 kappa
Strain Balb/c
Notes Does not react with CYP1A1.

ELISA pair with anti-CYP1B1, clone 5E2.
By IHC this antibody detected detected CYP1B1 in biopsy samples of cancers of the bladder, brain, breast, colon, connective tissue, esophagus, kidney, lung, lymph node, ovary, skin, stomach, testis and uterus, but not normal cells.
Research Area Cancer, Cardiovascular, Cell Signaling & Signal Transduction, Metabolism
