Immunohistochemistry was performed on wax embedded human breast cancer sections using anti-TNFRSF18 (soluble form), clone T10P2H9*B9
Western blot was performed on Jurkat cell lysates using anti-TNFRSF18 (soluble form) [T10P2H9*B9].
Immunohistochemical staining of human lymph node using anti-TNFRSF18 (soluble form) [T10P2H9*B9]. Positive cytoplasmic staining is shown (and expected; TNFRSF18 is expressed in T-cells)
Immunohistochemistry images are showing a stronger immunostaining of TNFRSF18 (soluble form) in (A) primary colorectal cancer compared to (B) normal colon mucosa using anti-TNFRSF18 (soluble form) [T10P2H9*B9]. IHC was performed on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Antigen retrieval step is required (microwave 10 min @ 950W in 0.01M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0).

Relevance TNFRSF18 is a type I transmembrane protein with homology to members of divergent costimulatory molecules in the TNFRSF. To date three isoforms of TNFRSF18 have been identified, including one soluble form that lacks a transmembrane domain. According to homology of the cytoplasmic domain, TNFRSF18 and other three TNFRSF members (4–1BB, CD27, and OX40) probably constitute a new subfamily as divergent costimulators. TNFRSF18 and the other subfamily members bind TRAF molecules and activate NF-KB.
