Anti-BLK [BLK154/D4]

Invented by Dr Jacqueline Cordell from University of Oxford
Invented at University of Oxford

Info

Catalogue Number 151789
Applications WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets BLK
Reactivity Human
Relevance B lymphoid tyrosine kinase is a member of the src family of proto-oncogenes that are involved in cell proliferation and differentiation1. It is expressed in B cells during all stages of development and has a role in B-cell receptor signaling and B-cell development2,3. BLK also stimulates insulin synthesis and secretion in response to glucose by up regulating pancreatic beta-cell transcription factors.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Recombinant protein corresponding to amino acids 53- 224 of human BLK
Positive Control Human B cell line
Subclass IgG1
Myeloma Used NS0
Recommended Growing Conditions RPMI 1640 + 10% FCS + penicillin (100U/ml) + streptomycin (100mg/l) + glutamine (2mM) + HAT
Research Area Apoptosis and Programmed Cell Death
