Catalogue Number 151340
Applications FACS IHC IF
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU)
Reactivity Human
Relevance BrdU is an analogue of thymidine and is taken up into the DNA of proliferating cells. Bu20a works well in immunohistochemistry to identify cells in tissue sections or cytospin preparations that have incorporated BrdU. It is also useful to identify cells in S phase during FACS analysis.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Bromodeoxyuridine conjugated to BSA
Subclass IgG1
Myeloma Used P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1
Recommended Growing Conditions RPMI 1640 + 10% FCS + penicillin (100U/ml) + streptomycin (100mg/l) + glutamine (2mM)
Notes Ultroser G can be used at 1% if the cells are not growing well.
Research Area Cell Cycle, Cell Type or Organelle Marker, Epigenetics & Nuclear Signalling, Neurobiology
