Catalogue Number 151180
Applications FACS IHC IF IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Cyclin B1
Synonyms CCNB, CCNB1, CCNB1_HUMAN, G2 Mitotic Specific Cyclin B1
Human Entrez Gene ID 891
Human SwissProt P14635
Human Unigene 23960
Human Gene Symbol CCNB1
Human Chromosome Location 5q13.2
Reactivity Hamster, Human and Mouse
Relevance Clone V92.1, recognizes a protein of 55-62kDa, identified as cyclin B1. Cyclins bind to and regulate the activity of the Cyclin Dependent Protein Kinases (CDKs). Cyclin B1 is a marker of cell proliferation and a key component of the cell cycle progression machinery. Cyclin B1 may prove to be a prognostic marker in neoplasia. V92.1 may be used to immunoprecipitate active CDK1/cyclin complexes.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Hamster Cyclin B1
Positive Control Cell line in logarithmic growth phase. Tonsil or testicular, endometrial, prostate or ovarian carcinoma.
Subclass IgG1 kappa
Molecular Weight (kDa) 55-62kDa
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 5% FCS
Notes Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic
Suggwested Dilutions: Flow Cytometry (0.5-1ug/million cells); Immunofluorescence (0.5-1ug/ml); Immunoprecipitation (1-2ug/500ug protein) (precipitates active CDK1/cyclin B1 complexes);
Research Area Cancer, Cell Cycle, Epigenetics & Nuclear Signalling
