Invented by Franz Radner
Invented at University of Graz

Info

Catalogue Number 160867
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets G0/G1 switch gene 2
Synonyms G0/G1 swithc gene 2
Model Knock-Out
Relevance seful model for the generation of tissue/cell specific G0S2-deficient mice. Animals might be useful for studies, e.g.on energy metabolism or oncology.
Production Details The whole G0s2 gene sequence was targeted and flanked by loxP sites. Further details are available upon request.
Breeding Information Good breeder. Homozygous mice may be bred together to maintain a live colony.
Conditional Yes
Conditional Description Flox flanked gene ready for deletion.
Growth/Phenotype Keywords These mice are conditional ready, and phenotypical identical to C57BL/6J mice.
Strain C57BL/6J
Mouse Genetic Background/Cross History These mice were generated using HM1-ES cells. ES cell clones were injected into C57BL/6J blastocysts to enable coat colour selection of the chimeras. Mice were subsequently backcrossed to C57BL/6J (≥ 10 generations). When kept as a homozygous colony, mice are backcrossed regularly to C57BL/6J to avoid generation of subpopulations.
Zygosity Homozygous
Research Area Metabolism, Cell Cycle, Apoptosis and Programmed Cell Death, Cancer
