Anti-Histone H3 [BT164] monoclonal antibody

Invented by Johan van der Vlag
Invented at Radboud UMC

Info

Catalogue Number 160535
Applications ELISA IF WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Histone H3
Reactivity Human and Mouse
Relevance Histone H3 is one of the five main histones involved in the structure of chromatin in eukaryotic cells. H3 is involved with the structure of the nucleosomes of the 'beads on a string' structure. Histone proteins are highly post-translationally modified however Histone H3 is the most extensively modified of the five histones. This makes them an important element to study in the field of epigenetics.
Host Mouse
Immunogen apoptotic chromatin
Notes T164 specifically stains and precipitates H3K27me3.
Research Area Apoptosis and Programmed Cell Death, Epigenetics & Nuclear Signalling
