Derived from the HT-22 murine hippocampal neuronal cell line, these cells lack mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) and can be repopulated with exogenous mtDNA (e.g., mtDNA from patients with mitochondrial disease) allowing for mitochondrial mutational analysis. The original parental lines are available upon request. |
