Invented at Flinders University

Info

Catalogue Number 160417
Applications ELISA IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets A 20 amino acid synthetic GFAP (Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein) peptide (H-CKLADVYQAELRELRLRLDQ-OH), conjugated to Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin (KLH).
Reactivity Human, Rat and Sheep
Notes FORM:
Whole Serum, Lyophilised

SPECIFICITY:
Specific for GFAP. Confirmed by Immunohistochemical and Western Blot analysis of Paraffin Embedded Human and Rat Brain.

IMMUNO-HISTOCHEMISTRY:
Use at 1:500 – 1:1000 dilution for Immunofluorescence staining, 1:4000 – 1:8000 dilution for DAB Staining on Paraffin Embedded Sections and 1:5000 -1:10,000 for Western Blotting. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.

STORAGE:
Long term - 70ºC dry Short term - 20ºC solution or 4ºC with appropriate antibacterial agent. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Glycerol (1:1) can be added for additional stability.

PRODUCT PREPARATION:
Reconstitute with addition of 100 µl of sterile water.

KNOWN USES:
ELISA (1:100 to 1:10,000), Immunohistochemistry (1:4000 – 1:8000), Immunofluorescence Staining (1:500 – 1:1000), Western Blot (1:5000 – 1:10,000)
