Anti-Fatty acid-binding protein, heart-type H-FABP polyclonal antibody

Invented by Jan F. C. Glatz

Info

Catalogue Number 160392
Applications IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets heart-type fatty acid-binding protein
Synonyms FABP11, MDGI
Reactivity Human and Mouse
Relevance Cellular fatty acid-binding proteins (FABP) are a highly conserved family of proteins consisting of several subtypes, among them the mammary-derived growth inhibitor (MDGI) which is quite homologous to or even identical with the heart-type FABP (H-FABP). The FABPs and MDGI have been suggested to be involved in intracellular fatty acid metabolism and trafficking.
Host Rabbit
Immunogen human H-FABP
Notes From the polyclonal antiserum the IgG fraction has been isolated and subsequently monospeciflc rabbit IgG against human H-FABP (~P-IgG) was isolated by affinity chromatography, using a Sepharose column containing covalently bound human H-FABR. The protein contents of the affinity purified antibodies were 1.6, 1.2 and 0.1 mg/ml for the anti-bovine H-FABP, anti-bovine MDGI and antihuman H-FABP respectively.
