Anti-protein argonaute-2 [4F9-5C5] monoclonal antibody

Invented at University Of Florida

Info

Catalogue Number 158412
Applications IF IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Protein argonaute-2
Synonyms AGO2; EIF2C2
Reactivity Human, Rat and Mouse
Relevance Protein argonaute-2 plays a role in RNA interference and contains a PAZ and PIWI domain. Ago2, in humans, is responsible for the endonuclease cleavage of targeted mRNA and interacts with GW182 (mRNA binding protein) which is a marker for cytiplasmic foci called GW bodies. This monoclonal antibody may be useful in detecting functional microRNAs.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Pristane-primed
and recombinant full length human protein
Subclass IgA kappa
Notes IHC: 1:300. Also reconizes Ago1, 3 and 4. Multiple bands around 100 kDa are seen in IP/WB.
Research Area Gene Expression, Epigenetics & Nuclear Signalling
