Relevance This human keratinocyte cell line expresses an enhanced green fluorescent protein (eGFP)-Smad2 fusion protein and can be used as a Smad2 translocation reporter for activin and transforming growth factor β (TGF-β) signalling. The cell line enables detection of Smad2 nucleocytoplasmic shuttling in real time.
Production Details Made by transfecting a plasmid comprising human Smad2 cloned downstream of eGFP in plasmid pEGFP-C1.
