Anti-Sm-TCTP polyclonal antibody

Invented at University of Illinois, Chicago

Info

Catalogue Number 156380
Applications ELISA FACS WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Schistosoma mansoni Translationally Controlled Tumor Protein (Sm-TCTP)
Synonyms Sm-TCTP
Reactivity Schistosoma mansoni
Relevance Schistosoma mansoni infects about 200 million people in many tropical and sub-tropical areas of the world causing serious health hazards. The translationally controlled tumour protein (TCTP) is a highly conserved protein that is widely expressed in all eukaryotic organisms. TCTP has been implicated in important cellular processes, such as cell growth, cell cycle progression, malignant transformation and in the protection of cells against various stress conditions and apoptosis.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Recombinant SmTCTP
Notes The SmTCTP antibody recognizes several proteins most prominently around 25, 60, 85, and 150 kDa in molecular size in the worm homogenates of schistosomula, adult male worms, and adult female worms.
