Anti-IAb +Ea peptide [YAe] monoclonal antibody

Invented at Yale University

Info

Catalogue Number 155244
Applications N/A
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets MHC Class II (IA/IE)
Reactivity N/A
Relevance Monoclonal antibody which binds YAe antigen on B cells and antigen presenting cells.

Background and Research Application
This YAe antibody reacts with a class II major histocompatibility complex (MHC) self Ea peptide (peptide 52-68) bound to I-Ab molecules. The YAe antibody binds to an epitope expressed on a subset of class II I-Ab molecules in strains that also express class II I-Eb. This epitope is found on peripheral B cells and on cells in the thymic medulla, but not thymic cortical epithelium. In addition to B cells, the YAe antigen is expressed at comparable levels on other antigen presenting cells, including macrophages and dendritic cells. This antibody does not react with invariant chain-associated class II MHC complexes.
Immunogen UniProt ID P14483
Notes Production Details
Purified using multi-step affinity chromatography with protein A.

Storage Conditions
Store at -20 degrees frozen. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Points of Interest
This antibody reacts with 10-15% of surface I-Ab molecules in strains that also express surface I-Eb molecules.

Concentration
1mg/ml as standard
