Applications | FACS IHC IP |
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | CD11a |
Synonyms | ITGAL; LFA-1A |
Reactivity | Human |
Relevance | ITGAL encodes the integrin alpha L chain. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This I-domain containing alpha integrin combines with the beta 2 chain (ITGB2) to form the integrin lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1), which is expressed on all leukocytes. LFA-1 plays a central role in leukocyte intercellular adhesion through interactions with its ligands, ICAMs 1-3 (intercellular adhesion molecules 1 through 3), and also functions in lymphocyte costimulatory signalling. |
Host | Mouse |
Immunogen | Immunization of BALB/c mice with cells of the T4+T8- cytotoxic T lymphocyte clone HG-38 |
Subclass | IgG1 |
Molecular Weight (kDa) | 126 |
Myeloma Used | Sp2/0-Ag14 |
Recommended Growing Conditions | IMDM + 10% FBS ultra low IgG, 37 ⁰C 5% CO2 |

Notes |
Fusion partners: derived by fusion of Sp2/0 mouse myeloma cells with splenocytes from BALB/c mouse. Antibody recognizes the human equivalents of the LFA-1 antigen. |
