Relevance CD44 antigen is a cell-surface glycoprotein involved in cell–cell interactions, cell adhesion and migration. CD44 is expressed in a large number of mammalian cell types and participates in a wide variety of cellular functions including lymphocyte activation, recirculation and homing, haematopoiesis, and tumour metastasis.
Host Mouse
Immunogen A mouse was immunized rasplenically with immunoprecipitated LFA-I family antigen. The immunoprecipitates were obtained from lysates of human monocytes by centrifugal elutriation (>90% pure).
