Applications | FACS IHC IF IP |
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | CD6 |
Synonyms | TP120 |
Reactivity | Human |
Relevance | CD6 encodes a protein found on the outer membrane of T-lymphocytes as well as some other immune cells. The encoded protein contains three scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) domains and a binding site for an activated leukocyte cell adhesion molecule. The gene product is important for continuation of T cell activation |
Host | Mouse |
Immunogen | Cloned cytotoxic T lymphocytes. |
Subclass | IgG1 |
Molecular Weight (kDa) | 150 |
Myeloma Used | Sp2/0-Ag14 |
Strain | Balb/c |
Notes |
Fusion partners: SP2/0 x spleen cells origin BALB/C. This antibody reacts with the 120 kDa CD6 present on the surface of more than 95% of normal human T-cells. This antibody also reacts with a proportion of low-grade malignant B cell lymphomas, but it is not present on normal B cells. |
