Invented at Netherlands Cancer Institute

Info

Catalogue Number 154753
Applications FACS IHC IF IP
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets CD6
Synonyms TP120
Reactivity Human
Relevance CD6 encodes a protein found on the outer membrane of T-lymphocytes as well as some other immune cells. The encoded protein contains three scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) domains and a binding site for an activated leukocyte cell adhesion molecule. The gene product is important for continuation of T cell activation
Host Mouse
Immunogen Cloned cytotoxic T lymphocytes.
Subclass IgG1
Molecular Weight (kDa) 150
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
Strain Balb/c
Notes Fusion partners: SP2/0 x spleen cells origin BALB/C.
This antibody reacts with the 120 kDa CD6 present on the surface of more than 95% of normal human T-cells. This antibody also reacts with a proportion of low-grade malignant B cell lymphomas, but it is not present on normal B cells.
