Anti-CD104 (Integrin β4) [58XB4] monoclonal antibody
NEW

Invented by Prof Arnoud Sonnenberg at Netherlands Cancer Institute

Info

Catalogue Number 154751
Applications ELISA FACS IHC IF IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets CD104
Synonyms ITGB4; GP150
Reactivity Human
Relevance The ITGB4 gene encodes the integrin beta 4 subunit, a receptor for the laminins. This subunit tends to associate with alpha 6 subunit and is likely to play a pivotal role in the biology of invasive carcinoma. Mutations in this gene are associated with epidermolysis bullosa with pyloric atresia.
Host Mouse
Immunogen The full length CD104 protein
Subclass IgG2a
Molecular Weight (kDa) 202
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 10% FBS ultra low IgG, 37 ⁰C 5% CO2
Notes Binds specifically to integrin β4 chain(CD104) or β4 integrin, that associates with integrin α6 (CD49f) forms α6/β4 (CD49f/CD104) heterodimer. CD104 is expressed on epithelial cells (especially on the proliferative basal layer epithelial cells in skin), endothelial cells, Schwann cells, certain tumour cells and a subset of pre-T cells.
