Info
Catalogue Number | 153931 |
Applications | ELISA IF WB |
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | Avian Thymic Hormone |
Synonyms | ATH |
Reactivity | Avian |
Relevance | ATH consists of 108 residues (11.7 kDa) thus placing this protein, based on its size, at the intersection between the α and ß lineages (it is a ß-PV). ATH is 82% identical to ß- parvalbumin from Graptemys geographica and is produced primarily in epithelial cells in the thymic cortex and in the eyes of chickens. ATH has been shown to promote maturation in bone marrow cells and is involved in binding to calcium ions. ATH supports the maturation of T-lymphocytes and associated with embryonic development. |
Host | Mouse |
Immunogen | Parvalbumin |
Subclass | IgG1 kappa |
Notes | Mab 4A6 is specific to ATH and avian thymus extracts and does not cross-react with other parvalbumins or tissue (muscle, liver, etc.) extracts. |
Research Area | Developmental Biology, Immunology |
