Relevance |
Monoclonal antibody which specifically detects the α isoform of PKC. Background and Research Application The PKC family consists of fifteen isozymes in humans. Protein Kinase C alpha (PKCα) is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation during cell cycle progression. PKC-α is a 672 amino acid enzyme containing a single AGC-kinase C-terminal domain, a C2 domain, 2 phorbol-ester/DAGtype zinc fingers and a single protein kinase domain. Anti-PKC (133) recognizes the α isoform of PKC and binds to a sequence at the C terminus of PKCα to detect its expression in vitro. |
