Info

Catalogue Number 153646
Applications IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Protein Kinase C α
Synonyms Protein kinase C alpha,
PKC-A, PKC-alpha, PRKCA, PKCA, PRKACA
Reactivity Human and Mammals
Relevance Monoclonal antibody which specifically detects the α isoform of PKC.

Background and Research Application
The PKC family consists of fifteen isozymes in humans. Protein Kinase C alpha (PKCα) is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation during cell cycle progression. PKC-α is a 672 amino acid enzyme containing a single AGC-kinase C-terminal domain, a C2 domain, 2 phorbol-ester/DAGtype zinc fingers and a single protein kinase domain.
Anti-PKC (133) recognizes the α isoform of PKC and binds to a sequence at the C terminus of PKCα to detect its expression in vitro.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Recognizes sequence PQFVHPILQSAV at the C terminus at PKCα
Immunogen UniProt ID P17252
Positive Control Retina
Subclass IgG2a
Molecular Weight (kDa) 75
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
