Info

Catalogue Number 153535
Applications ELISA IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Human immunoglobulin G - all subclasses
Synonyms IgG, Immunoglobulin G,
Reactivity N/A
Relevance Monoclonal antibody specific for human immunoglobulin G.

Background and Research Application
Antibodies make up a major component of humoral immunity, with Immunoglobulin G making up the main type found circulating in blood and extracellular fluid allowing permitting access to the body's tissues to control infection through binding pathogens like viruses, bacteria, and fungi.

IgG is a type of antibody, has two antigen binding sites, and represents approximately 75% of serum antibodies in humans. IgG is the most common type of antibody found in the circulation and they are created and released by plasma B cells. This antibody is specific for human IgG.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Human IgM rheumatoid factor Waldenstrom’s macroglobulineamia
Immunogen UniProt ID P01857
Subclass IgG1
Myeloma Used NS0
Recommended Growing Conditions RPMI 1640 supplemented with 10% Foetal bovine serum (bovine IgG depleted over SpA and PrG) and penicillin (100ug/ml). Cultured at 37oC in 5% CO2.
Strain Balb/c
Notes Production Details
Purified using multi-step affinity chromatography with protein A.

Storage Conditions
Store at -20 degrees frozen. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Points of Interest
Anti-IgG (R10Z8E9) has been demonstrated by ELISA not to recognise IgG from Non-Human Primate species (Baboon, Marmoset, Rhesus and Cynomologus macaques), nor does it recognise mouse or rat IgG.

Concentration
1mg/ml as standard
Research Area Cancer, Immunology
