Anti-IgT [Z55F8*C3]

Info

Catalogue Number 153529
Applications ELISA IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets IgT, Immunoglobulin Heavy Constant Tau
Synonyms IgT
Reactivity Gilthead seabream, Meagre and Lumpsucker
Relevance Anti-IgT antibody with use to develop vaccines, in fish.

Background and Research Application
Immunoglobulin T (IgT) is one of the key effector molecules of jawed vertebrate's adaptive immune system, and acts like a mucosal antibody. The target species of this antibody include: Meagre (Argyrosomus regius), gilt-head (sea) bream (Sparus aurata), Lumpsucker (Cyclopteridae), Large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea).
This anti-IgT antibody provides a useful tool to monitor vaccine performance in fish and will assist in the development of future vaccines, especially mucosal vaccines.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Ovalbumin-conjugated synthetic peptide
Positive Control ELISA - fish sera, peptide immunogen; Western Blot, Sera; IHC, Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded head kidney, gill and spleen tissues
Subclass IgG
Myeloma Used P3X63Ag8.653
Notes Production Details
Purified using multi-step affinity chromatography with protein A.

Storage Conditions
Store at -20 degrees frozen. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Points of Interest
Detection of specific antibodies in the serum of animals is an indicator of previous exposure to pathogens which is very valuable for brood stock health testing.
This antibody has been used to investigate quantitative distribution of IgT-expressing and IgT-producing cells in tissues of the European seabass Dicentrarchus labrax.

Recommended Usage Conditions: ELISA- neat; Western blot- neat; IHC- 1/5 dilution, antigen retrieval: microwave 20 min @ 800W in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0

Concentration
1mg/ml as standard
Research Area Aquaculture
