Relevance |
Monoclonal antibody with use to monitor and develop vaccines in fish. Background and Research Application IgM is the largest antibody, and it is the first antibody to appear in the response to initial exposure to an antigen. Detection of specific antibodies in the serum of animals is an indicator of previous exposure to pathogens which is very valuable for brood stock health testing. This anti-IgM antibody provides a useful tool to monitor vaccine performance in fish and will assist in the development of future vaccines. |
