Anti-MUC2 [996/1]

Invented at University of Nottingham

Info

Catalogue Number 153398
Applications FACS IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets MUC2
Synonyms MUC-2; SMUC; MLP , Mucin2
Reactivity Human
Relevance Mucin 2/MUC2 is a member of the mucin protein family. Mucins are high molecular weight glycoproteins produced by many epithelial tissues. The protein encoded by this gene is secreted and forms an insoluble mucous barrier that protects the gut lumen. The protein polymerizes into a gel of which 80% is composed of oligosaccharide side chains by weight.
Host Mouse
Immunogen MUC-2 tandem repeat peptide
Positive Control Normal colon
Subclass IgG1
Molecular Weight (kDa) 540
Myeloma Used NS0
Research Area Cancer, Cell Cycle, Epigenetics & Nuclear Signalling
