Relevance |
Monoclonal antibody directed against a shared epitope between CEACAM3 and 5. Background and Research Application Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule (CEACAM) 3/5 belong to the immunoglobulin superfamily. These proteins contain 1 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain and the cytosolic domain is involved in S100A9 interaction. CEACAMs are reported to participate in diverse physiological processes, including cell adhesion, differentiation, proliferation, and survival, as well as in carcinogenesis and bacterial pathogenesis. CEACAM molecules play a crucial role within the innate immune system, via phagocytosis and pathogen clearance. This antibody reacts with an antigen epitope shared by CEACAM 3 and 5. |

Notes |
Production Details Purified using multi-step affinity chromatography with protein A. Storage Conditions Store at -20 degrees frozen. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Points of Interest Human CEACAM3 and CEACAM5 are two CEACAMs whose extracellular region is composed of only one V-type Ig-like extracellular domain. Clone 308/3-3 reacts with human CEACAM3 and CEACAM5, but not human CEACAM1/4/6/7/8, rat CEACAM1, or mouse CEACAM1 & CEACAM2. Concentration 1mg/ml as standard |
