Catalogue Number 153320
Applications ELISA IP
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Mycobacterium bovis
Reactivity Mycobacterium bovis
Relevance Bovine tuberculosis (TB) caused by Mycobacterium bovis continues to be a significant animal health issue in some countries, including the United Kingdom and Ireland. Anti-Mycobacterium bovis [11G3] has been demonstrated to work by ELISA and for immunocapture.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Gamma-irradiated whole M. bovis AF2122/97 cells
Positive Control M. bovis AF2122/97 cells
Subclass IgM
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM containing 10% (v/v) fetal bovine serum and 5% (v/v) penicillin/streptomycin
Strain Balb/c
Notes Direct and competitive ELISA.
Specificity of immunocapture was evaluated in Stewart et al., 2012. "MAb 11G3-coated beads and beads coated with a mixture of MAb 11G3 and biotinylated peptide EEA302 yielded PCR bands of decreasing intensity across all five cell concentrations tested and thus demonstrated the best M. bovis capture capability".
