Info

Applications IF IP WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Ecto 5' nucleotidase
Synonyms 5'-Nucleotidase Ecto; 5-NT; NT5; NTE; Purine 5-Prime-Nucleotidase; 5 Nucleotidase (CD73); CD73 Antigen; CALJA; CD73; E5NT; ENT; NT; EN
Reactivity Human
Relevance CD73, also known as Ecto-5'-nucleotidase, catalyzes the conversion of purine 5' mononucleotides to nucleosides, the preferred substrate being AMP. The enzyme consists of a dimer of 2 identical 70-kD subunits bound by a glycosyl phosphatidyl inositol linkage to the external face of the plasma membrane. The enzyme is used as a marker of lymphocyte differentiation, being expressed on subsets of B-cells and T-cells. CD73 is also a marker of undifferentiated mesenchymal stem cells and is often used to identified stem cell populations.
Host Mouse
Myeloma Used Sp2/0
Research Area Cardiovascular, Cell Type or Organelle Marker, Immunology, Stem Cell Biology
