Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | Anti-Integrin alpha-3b |
Synonyms | CD49C |
Reactivity | Human |
Relevance | Anti-Integrin alpha-3b (CD49C) recognizes specifically the cytoplasmic domain alpha-3b, which together with beta-1 subunit make up the alpha-3/beta-1 integrin duplex. Integrin alpha-3/beta-1 is a receptor for fibronectin, laminin, collagen, epiligrin, thrombospondin and CSPG4. In the brain, isoform alpha-3b is expressed exclusively on vascular smooth muscle cells, whereas in the heart only on endothelial vein cells. |
