Western blotting was performed on pooled liver microsomes using anti-Cytochrome P450 2J2 [Z9P1G9* A2]. A 58kDa protein was detected.
Immunohistochemistry was performed on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded hepatocytes of normal liver using anti-Cytochrome P450 2J2 [Z9P1G9*A2]. Moderate cytoplasmic staining was observed.

Figure. Photomicrographs of anti-Cytochrome P450 2J2 [Z9P1G9*A2]. is seen in normal colon (A) whilst in primary colorectal tumour tissue (B) moderate positive signal is detected. Cytoplasmic localisation of CYP2J2 is observed.
Frequency distribution of the intensity of expression of CYP2J2 in normal colonic mucosa and primary colorectal cancer using Anti-CYP2J2 antibody [Z9P1G9*A2]. All monoclonal antibodies developed by Vertebrate Antibodies Ltd have been independently validated by the Department of Pathology, University of Aberdeen and the Grampian Biorepository. Each antibody has been tested by immunohistochemistry against a multi-tumour tissue microarray containing 16 tumour types matched with normal tissues. To identify clinical significance of targets of interest, corresponding antibodies have also been used to screen a large colorectal cancer tissue microarray (n=650). Relevance Cytochrome P450 2J2 metabolizes arachidonic acid predominantly via a NADPH-dependent olefin epoxidation to all four regioisomeric cis-epoxyeicosatrienoic acids. One of the predominant enzymes responsible for the epoxidation of endogenous cardiac arachidonic acid pools. Highly expressed in heart, present at lower levels in liver, ileum, jejunum, colon, and kidney. Localised to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane; microsome membrane.
