Anti-SARS Nucleocaspid [6H3]

Invented at A*STAR Accelerate Technologies Pte Ltd

Info

Catalogue Number 152645
Applications IF WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets SARS coronavirus nucleocapsid protein
Synonyms Nucleoprotein, Protein N, SARS coronavirus N protein, SARS CoV
Reactivity Virus
Relevance Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) genome encodes for four major structural proteins, namely nucleocaspid (N), spike (S), membrane (M) and envelope (E). The viral RNA is packaged by the N protein into a helical nucleocapsid. Other molecular aspects of SARS-CoV N protein have also been reported, including self-dimerization, RNA-binding capabilities and its ability to activate signal transduction pathways. In addition, it was shown to induce apoptosis and actin reorganization in mammalian cells under stressed conditions.
Host Mouse
Immunogen GST-N (residues 121-422)
Positive Control SARS-CoV infected Vero E6 cells
Subclass Inconclusive
Subclass Notes Both Isotype assays negative
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
Research Area Virology
