Reactivity Human
Relevance CD40 is a 48 kD type I glycoprotein and a member of the TNFR superfamily primarily expressed on B cells, macrophages, follicular dendritic cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and at low levels on plasma cells. CD40 is also expressed on a wide range of tumor cells, including non-Hodgkin's and Hodgkin's lymphomas, myeloma and some carcinomas including nasopharynx, bladder, cervix, kidney and ovary. The binding of CD154 (CD40L) on TH cells to CD40 activates antigen presenting cells and induces a variety of downstream effects.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Ovalbumin-conjugated synthetic peptide RDPVCHPLGA (C-terminal sequence)
Positive Control IHC - formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded hepatocellular carcinoma sections; WB - Jurkat cell lysates
Subclass IgG2b kappa
Molecular Weight (kDa) 22
