Catalogue Number 152123
Applications ELISA IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets CYP51A1- Cytochrome P450, family 51, subfamily A, polypeptide 1.
Reactivity Human
Relevance Cytochrome P450, family 51, subfamily A, polypeptide 1 (CYP51A1) encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes that are a group of heme-thiolate monooxygenases. Cytochromes P450 catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. CYP51A1 is an endoplasmic reticulum protein that participates in the synthesis of cholesterol by catalyzing the removal of the 14alpha-methyl group from lanosterol.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Ovalbumin-conjugated synthetic peptide NPVIRYKRRS (C-terminal sequence).
Positive Control WB: pooled human liver microsomes
Subclass IgG1 kappa
Myeloma Used P3X63Ag8.653
Recommended Growing Conditions Dulbecco’s media containing L-Glutamine and 20% Fetal Bovine serum (DH20).
Notes This antibody was applied in a poster presented at the 2015 NCRI conference: http://abstracts.ncri.org.uk/?s=oxysterol&year_published=2015
