Relevance | Mammalian PITPß (phosphatidylinositol transfer protein ß) is a 272-amino-acid polypeptide capable of transferring PtdIns, PtdCho and SM (sphingomyelin) between membrane bilayers. Ablation of PITPß is embryonically lethal. This antibody is specific for both splice variants of PITPß but does not recognise PITPa despite the 95% similarity between the two. |
